Sara Meador ~ Pastry Artist
Sara’s passion started at the young age of 12 years old when her mother gave her a cake decorating starter kit and several decorating classes at JoAnn Fabrics. This initial exposure to the culinary experience quickly flourished from experimental baking at home to attending Jacobson Culinary Academy at Tarpon Springs High School. Sara’s experience at the Academy allowed her to spread her creative wings and hone these new skills in a competitive environment. Graduating from the academy with honors at the age of 16, Sara accepted a scholarship from the prestigious Johnson and Wales University for Culinary Arts. Sara took this opportunity as a chance to fully experience both culinary and other areas of the hospitality industry. While enrolled full time at Johnson and Wales Sarah worked for Nordstrom’s as a front of the house manager. After graduating from college at the age of 20, Sarah accepted a management position at Norstrom’s Brazille Restaurant at Tampa’s International Mall. During this management experience Sarah again started expressing her creative side by making cakes for family, friends and friends of friends. It is at this time that Sara realized that this was her true passion and decided to make this her new career path. She began working at The Artistic Whisk in June of 2017 and is more than excited to make all of your cake dreams come true. Sara lives by the passion of the industry and never for a second sees it as "work".
